The Good Active Story & Meet The Founder

Good Active’s founder, Alex Brown, is a Los Angeles native and health & wellness enthusiast whose dream has always been to combine her 3 greatest passions into her life’s work: movement, community, and giving back. She is currently in the process of getting her Integrative Behavioral Health certification and has a 10 year professional career as a leader in the social and content space. She spends her free time volunteering at local charities, adventuring outdoors, and diving into her personal evolution.

The idea of Good Active was originally conceived as a way to give back to underserved communities after she saw how much support was truly needed across the board during the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020, both in resources and especially within mental health. That, combined with her experience never feeling like she fit in as a woman of color in so many wellness spaces across LA, she wanted to find a way to:

  1. Bring accessible wellness to others

  2. Help like-minded people lean into community

  3. Redefine the traditional view that wellness means perfection

  4. Facilitate spaces where practitioners can share their gifts with community members who need it most

  5. Support charities doing the important work on the ground

4 years later, Good Active was born in 2024. For us, wellness isn’t just a physical journey. It’s a holistic one. It’s about the mind, body, and spirit.

“Good Active was created because, at the end of the day, we all need eachother.
